Quickstart

Create your account and save your first note or bookmark in under two minutes.

Step 1: Create your account

Go to web.stashsync.app and sign up with your email or an OAuth provider. After confirming your email you'll land in the setup wizard (below), and then on the Dashboard — your main hub for everything in StashSync.app.

New accounts include a free trial so you can explore all Pro features before committing to a plan. When the trial ends, you can continue on the Free plan or upgrade to Pro. Your data is always yours and can be exported at any time.

The setup wizard

The first time you sign in, StashSync walks you through a short, full-page wizard so you start with a populated workspace instead of an empty dashboard. It opens with a welcome screen, then four guided steps:

A final screen recaps what you created and points you to extras like the browser extension, the API, and installing the app.

The wizard is optional — click Skip anytime to jump straight to the dashboard. Anything you skip is also tracked in the Getting Started checklist in the sidebar, so you can finish it later.

Step 2: Save your first item

Three ways to create something new:

Step 3: Try a note

  1. Press N to create a new note.
  2. Give it a title, then click into the body and start writing.
  3. Type / to open the block menu and insert headings, lists, code blocks, tables, and more.
  4. Your note saves automatically as you type — there is no save button.
  5. Press Escape to return to the dashboard.
Drag the handle on the left side of any block to reorder paragraphs, headings, or other elements.

Step 4: Save a bookmark

  1. Press B to open the bookmark editor.
  2. Paste a URL into the URL field, then press Enter or click outside the field.
  3. StashSync.app automatically fetches the title, description, and preview image from the page.
  4. Edit any field to override the auto-fetched values.
  5. Click Save.

Step 5: Organize (optional)

Once you have a few items, you can group them:

  • Stashes — like folders. Create one from the sidebar and move items into it using the bulk action bar.
  • Tags — flexible labels. Add a tag from the note editor's metadata bar, the bookmark editor, or by selecting items and using the bulk action bar.
  • Pin — select an item (click its checkbox) and press P, or use the menu on any card.
